Boskop Man The Boskop Man was, shortly after discovery in the early 20th century, thought to be a unique type of hominid. It was estimated to have lived in southern Africa between 30,000 and 10,000 BP. ==Discovery== Most theories regarding the Boskop were based on the first labelled Boskop skull, discovered in 1913 by two Afrikaner farmers. They offered it to Frederick William FitzSimons for examination and further research. Many similar skulls were subsequently discovered by paleontologists such as Robert Broom, William Pycraft and Raymond Dart.
